Product Description :

• 2 – PACK EPOXY PRIMER is a high build two component epoxy resin based primer cured by
• polyamide activator. It has excellent adhesion on wide range of substrate, thus when combines
• with epoxy and polyurethane as subsequent coating, provides abrasion resistance paint film that
• protects against atmosphere and marine environment, and resistant to general chemicals.

Uses :

• As primer and intermediate coat of the epoxy and polyurethane system.
  

Composition :

• Pigment: Micaceous iron oxide pigment
• Binder: Long oil alkyd resin
• Solvent: Hydrocarbon
  

Physical Characteristics of the Paint :

• Density: 1.34 – 1.38, depending on colours
• Volume Solid: 62 ± 5%
• Viscosity: 70 ± 5 KU at 30°C
• Coverage: 7 – 10 m2 /litre
• Colour: Refer to standard colour chart
  

Coating Properties :

• Recommended Dry Film Thickness: 50-80 microns per coat
• Recommended Numbers of coat: Two
• Drying Time: Touch Dry – 30 mins, Dry to handle – 4 - 6 hours
• Recoating interval: At least 16 hours
• Curing Time: 2 – 3 days

Application : As primer for gloss enamel topcoat or it can be used as topcoat in a multi-coat coating system. Most suitable for use on steel surfaces where protection against atmospheric corrosion environment is required.
