R-PIN

Retaining pins (R-Pin) also known as R-clips, are commonly used to secure the ends of round shafts such as axles and clevis pins.

The straight leg of the R-Pin is pushed into a hole near one end of the shaft until the semicircular part grips one side of the shaft resisting any force removing the R-Pin.

They are available in single coil and double coil types.

The single coil retaining pin is suitable for most applications and the double coil retaining pin is for more demanding use.

Manufactured from zinc plated spring steel or stainless steel.
